INGREDIENTS
- 2 pieces puff pastry
- Intense Strawberry Spread
- Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
- 1 cup thickened cream
- 2 tbsp icing sugar, or more to taste
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Icing sugar
- Fresh strawberries
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 190ºC.
- Cut out heart shapes in the puff pastry. Repeat but use a smaller heart cutter to hollow out the inside.
- Top each hollowed puff pastry on top of each full heart and poke holes in the bottom.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, whisk together thickened cream and icing sugar to make whipped cream.
- Once cooled, fill each pastry with Intense Strawberry Spread, whipped cream and top with additional Strawberry Spread or fresh strawberries.
- Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
