Savoury Fig Twists

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • Spreadable cream cheese
  • Bonne Maman Fig Conserve
  • 2 Jalapenos, halved and sliced
  • Shredded ham
  • Grated cheese of choice
  • Egg, beaten for egg wash
METHOD
  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  2. On a piece of puff pastry, spread cream cheese over the puff pastry, followed by a layer of Fig Conserve.
  3. Top half of the puff pastry with grated cheese, shredded ham and jalapenos.
  4. Fold the other half of the puff pastry over and press gently to seal.
  5. Slice into strips and twist. Place onto a prepared baking tray.
  6. Brush with egg wash and top with more cheese and jalapenos if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and enjoy.
